TRAUMACHANGE

SOULCHANGE is located within Treaty 6 Territory; the land occupied, traveled, and cared for by Indigenous peoples as far back as there have been people on this land, particularly Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux.

The importance of being truthful about what has happened in our country and its impact is regarded.

This land has been a place of meeting, ceremony, and exchange. The enduring presence, histories, languages, knowledge systems, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples is recognized, as is their agency and autonomy in revitalizing and participating in traditional, contemporary, and future manifestations of heritage and culture.

The shared responsibility of stewardship over these lands is appreciated, along with a prayer for reconciliation and the flourishing of all treaty peoples now and in the future.
